experience
Fred is not only the “Beckman” in Beckman Lawson, he’s also a key contributor to the firm’s personality, composition and culture. After a tour of duty as a U.S. Navy lieutenant in World War II, Fred returned to Fort Wayne to practice law, and he’s been doing so for more than a half century.
As one of the founding partners, Fred provides a wealth of practical, seasoned experience. He maintains a daily presence in the office and often adds perspective to an issue or sheds light on a new matter. Fred is also sure to provide quick wittedness and comic relief to office communications.
He belongs to the Allen County Bar Association, where he served as president from 1963-64. He is also a member of the Indiana State and American Bar Associations.
community involvement
Fred has served as board member for countless community organizations including two of his favorites -- Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. For 32 years he also served as a member of the board of the Allen County Society for Crippled Children and Adults (now Turnstone).
