Wendy Davis has almost 20 years of state and federal litigation experience. She currently serves as Deputy Prosecutor for Allen County where she prosecutes felony cases, including complex multiple offender cases and violent crimes against individuals. This role in Allen County builds on her legal roots of experience as an assistant District Attorney in Texas where she was appointed to a Federally–funded Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force. While on the force, she prosecuted violent criminals and crimes including homicides, gang–related and mafia cases. Wendy has completed over 100 jury trials. Her understanding of the courtroom and rules that apply inside the courtroom are sound and unwavering.

In addition to being a Deputy Prosecutor for Allen County, Wendy is also in private practice and a partner at the law firm of Beckman Lawson, LLP. Wendy primarily practices in the area of labor and employment matters, defending large and small companies in and around the Fort Wayne and Allen County area, primarily in state and federal litigation matters. She has been committed to keeping Allen County businesses viable and thriving. She is well versed in all areas of legal and regulatory compliance and litigates high profile cases involving the FMLA, ADA, harassment, discrimination, ERISA and other benefits issues in Federal Court.

Wendy Davis grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana as her father, L.D. Williams, worked most of his career with Central Soya. Wendy attended Homestead High School and graduated in 1984. Wendy went on to receive a B.A. from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, and law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. She’s admitted to practice law before five state and federal courts.

Wendy has been chosen on many occasions to represent leadership and integrity for the City of Fort Wayne, Allen County and Northeast Indiana. In 2006, Wendy was awarded the Northeast Indiana Women in Leadership Award and in 2009 was chosen to be the only woman in Fort Wayne and Allen County to be in the class of Senator Richard G. Lugar’s Excellence in Public Service Series. Wendy is married to Dr. Scott Davis, Chief of Anesthesia at Parkview Hospital and a mother of three children.
