zoning and real estate law
experience
Pat is the firm’s “go to” source for all matters of real estate transactions and zoning law. As a former land use planner for the Allen County Department of Planning Services, Pat knows the ins and outs of zoning and development in Indiana and regularly helps clients obtain approval for commercial and residential projects. Pat is also experienced in handling commercial real estate transactions.
One of Pat's recent wins includes securing approval for the Charis House -- a $3.85 million homeless shelter for women to be constructed on property adjacent to downtown on the north side of the St. Mary's River. Throughout the project, Pat helped the client address neighborhood concerns and navigate local zoning ordinances to create a strong case for approval by both the Board of Zoning appeals and the Fort Wayne Plan Commission.
He also obtained approval of the Villas at Summit Reserve, a 68-unit condominium project, the Villas of Park Place, a 107-lot residential development, and Lima Road Crossing, a 40-acre commercial development. Pat also represents the plan commission and board of zoning appeals for the Town of Zionsville, Indiana.
Pat is a member of the Allen County, Indiana and American Bar Associations. He also belongs to the state and national Planning Associations.
