As a former human resources professional, Mark understands firsthand the diverse challenges those in human resources face on a daily basis. He combines his 20 years of practicing employment law along with his experience in human resources to come up with practical solutions to employment related issues that meet his clients’ needs and provide legal protection.
Mark’s practice includes counseling and defending employers in discrimination matters, leave issues, wage and hour issues, retaliation, non-compete issues, affirmative action plans, I-9 compliance, worker’s compensation and unemployment. Mark represents clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies including the EEOC, DOL, Office of Federal Contract Compliance, U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Mark’s practice also includes assisting businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of immigration law. Mark helps businesses ensure that they have a legal workforce and obtaining visas for their foreign national workforce. Mark helps individuals obtain K-1 visas for fiancés, permanent resident status for spouses and close relatives, and U.S. Citizenship.
Mark and his wife Betsy have been married for over 25 years. They have two daughters, one attending Purdue University and another who will attend Indiana University in the fall. Mark lives in a house truly divided!
